Hand carved out of cherry wood, animal horn, vegetable tanned leather, sterling silver, horsehair and over 40 layers of the precious urushi lacquer, to create a  surface of  almost  mystical radiance and sensual depth.

Kotsuhiroi is a Japanese mystic, sculptor, poet, photographer and installation artist based in France.

Creating harmony in the conflict of elements and fusing symbols of a sharp fetishism with the organic fragility of the human psyche. Melding both conceptual art and traditional Japanese techniques, Kotsuhiroi’s objects are powerful and transcendent.
